Building Update – 9 October 2021

Only 1 day of heavy rain in the whole work week and all claddings are completed. We even have the main doors and lockset installed! Lockup is almost there, apart from a few minor details. Time to organise the Portaloo, the plumber and electrician!

The ATU (Aerated/Aerobic Treatment Unit, i.e. wastewater treatment system) was installed today. Pending power and plumbing connections, it will be ready for use. After almost 2 weeks of rain, preventing the carpenters from completing the roof sheets, we finally have 5 continuous work days of sunshine. With fine weather in Winter though comes very cold mornings and frost. This makes working on the roof treacherous, who would have thought that fine weather is also a hinderance to progress!…
